Ava Gardner – Actriță (1922-1990)
Ava Gardner și-a început cariera la studioul MGM și a devenit cunoscută pentru rolul din filmul ,,The Killers”. În urma interpretării acestui rol, Ava a fost recunoscută ca una dintre actrițele cele mai importante de la Hollywood și una dintre cele mai frumoase femei ale perioadei sale.
Memorabile sunt interpretările sale din „The Barefoot Contessa”, „Mogambo” sau „ The Night of the Iguana”.
Ava Gardner lived in London towards the end of her life, and did not like to appear in public.
She was in contact with the Gypsy Council but did not personally attend any meeting.
Zilka Heldt (married to Dennis Mariner) who had escaped from Maribor in 1941
said that the Gardners were related to the Heldts, both being Sinti, and survived the war in Italy.
