We’re excited to share with you the English subtitled version of the first conference on the topic of Roma slavery: “Roma slavery in the Romanian Principalities: a comparative perspective”, within 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 “𝐑𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐩𝐞”. 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏, coordinated by our colleague and sociologist Adrian-Nicolae Furtună.
The conference took place on June 15 and had as guests:

➤ Bogdan Chiriac (PhD) – Roma slavery in the Romanian Principalities: a regional comparative perspective;
➤ Petre Petcuț (PhD)- A comparative perspective: the institution of slavery in the Romanian Principalities and the institution of slavery in the French colonies; ➤ Magda Matache (PhD) – The problem of reparations, a comparative perspective;

Suntem încântați să vă prezentăm varianta subtitrată în limba engleză a primei conferințe pe tema sclaviei romilor: „Sclavia romilor în Țările Române: o perspectivă comparativă”, din cadrul 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐢 𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐞 „𝐑𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐩𝐞”.
